Our Next Contributor: You? Possibly!

Considering we're America's 478th most popular paranormal blog, one might assume that we have dozens of contributors from around the world, along with a crack team of editors, publicists and minions who fetch us coffee and bagels for our lavish staff meetings. But the truth is, there are only two of us. We've often considered opening Journal of the Bizarre to guest bloggers or looking for contributors, but for years we've decided against it, mostly for the following reasons:

1) We didn't want to change the "personality" of JOTB. We have a distinctive tone that sets us apart from other blogs, with our focus not only on the usual ghosts, UFOs, Bigfoot and conspiracy theories, but a healthy dose of history, along with offbeat topics you probably won't find anywhere else (see: A Brief History of the Flatulent Arts, or Why the Next President of Russia Will Be Hairy, or Everything You Wanted to Know About Cat Pianos).

2) We're cheap.

Okay, mostly it's the second reason. That being said, we understand the necessity of expanding our team if we'd like to see this humble blog flourish. And also because it's really hard coming up with new ideas all the time.

So, if you'd like to become a JOTB contributor, send an email to Marlin at zendog64@yahoo.com and let's talk. We're currently paying $5 for each article we decide to publish. That may not seem like a lot, but it's five bucks more than anyone on Craigslist is paying their contributors!
